2025 HDD Watermain River Crossing

The 2025 Madawaska River Crossing Watermain project’s scope includes the installation of a new water main feed to the Arnprior Water Tower by means of Horizontally Directionally Drilling (HDD) a new 400mm watermain underneath the Madawaska River from the Town’s Water Treatment Plant to the East side of the Madawaska River. This watermain will then be connect to the Town’s existing feed to the Water Tower by open cut excavation.

• The new watermain will be 400mm inside diameter.
• At it’s lowest point it will be approximately 10m below the riverbed and 30m below the ground surface from where the watermain is launched.
