Robert Simpson Park
Robert Simpson Park is the crown jewel of parks in the Ottawa Valley. Nestled along the shores of the Ottawa and Madawaska – where the rivers meet – this park offers ample amenities for a memorable day outdoors or for celebrating a special occasion.
The Robert Simpson Park Revitalization project will commence in 2026 with work beginning on the upper level of that park.
As a result, all upper-level park amenities – including the Lions Club Pavillion (gazebo), washrooms, canteen, play structure, and splash pad – will be unavailable for rental or public use throughout 2026.
The beach area will remain open for the summer 2026 season, providing continued access to the waterfront. For those looking to book weddings or events, we have several other park spaces available. For more information email us at recreation@arnprior.ca.

The Gazebo is typically available for bookings for small weddings, family gatherings or special events. To rent in 2027 please fill out the request form below.

Parking Information:
- Parking on the main level offers 65 spaces, including 5 accessible parking stalls.
- Beach level parking offers 7 spaces – 3 accessible spots and 5 standard parking space. All other areas of the waterfront, including the hill are Tow Away Zones.
- Overflow parking on weekends is available at no cost in the rear parking lot of the Arnprior Hospital.
- A Park Attendant will be on-site Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30am-6:30pm to support safe park environment.
