Commemorative Naming

Would you like to honour an individual, family or organization in the Town of Arnprior? We have a comprehensive Commemorative Naming Policy, which contains all of the available types of commemorative naming that can take place in the Town of Arnprior. People are able to put forward an application to name both major and minor municipal assets, including but not limited to parks, streets, facilities, benches and trees.

The purpose of this policy is to provide a consistent process for the commemorative naming of both major and minor Town assets, including municipal parks, streets and facilities, as well as benches and trees.

Major Town Assets

Major Town assets include municipal parks, streets, and facilities or parts of parks and facilities, for the purposes of this policy.

Minor Town Assets

Minor Town assets include municipal benches or trees for the purposes of this policy. Costs associated with the purchase of benches and/or trees are paid by the applicant, at a rate of cost plus 5%. These costs will be discussed at the time of application submission.
