Welcome to Wintermission 2026!

What is Wintermission? A winter activity campaign fostering a healthy social, mental and physical lifestyle through free programs, events, and attractions. Winter doesn't have to be a slow time. There is a lot of activities in and around Arnprior to enjoy.

There are always numerous programs you can take part in, regardless of the season.

Youth Club - This membership based project provides free access to numerous programs including Youth Nights and Craft Nights while subsidizing Afterschool Programs. View the many fantastic programs and events happening this season at Arnprior.ca/YouthClub

Older Adults Club - New this year thanks to funding from the Province of Ontario, the Older Adults Club is a membership based project that provides free access to many social and fitness programs including Pilates, seasonal activities, Coffee and Cards and so much more. Included in this membership is $1.00 off all Pickleball, Badminton, Table Tennis and Senior Swims. Join this pilot project at Arnprior.ca/OlderAdultsClub

Drama Lab and Young Actors Academy - Our good friends at Ottawa Valley Theatre Kids are ready to take youth aged 6-15 on a dramatics arts journey. The 8-week program in January and February open for registration in December. Learn more and register here.

Walk the Halls - Looking for a safe walking option this winter? The Arnprior District High School's hallways are open for 'walk the halls' on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-7:30pm weekly through March. Register ahead of time or just show up.

Crafts & Craft - Make and take a craft while sipping on some craft beer. This adults only programs runs once a month on Saturday evenings at the Nick Smith Centre and you can create a seasonal item with your friends. Registration required.

Pilates - Happening every Monday at 1:00pm, Denise Wiese will guide you through a mat Pilates course. Free for Older Adult Club members and open to all for $10. Register now!

Conditioning and Balance - In partnership with the Arnprior Family Health Team, this low impact fitness program is ideal for aging bones and muscles to help improve balance and coordination. Free for all to enjoy! Learn more here.

Preschool Explorers - Formerly called the Little Peoples Program, this program is designed to provide social interaction to those aged 2+ before they head off to school. Running exclusively out of the Nick Smith Centre, we are equipped with lots of toys, books, crafts, and music supplies to provide fun and engaging programming each session. Registration goes month to month. Join today!

The Town of Arnprior is pleased to offer the Lending Hub equipment to residents of Renfrew County aged 18 and over. Featuring a selection of seasonal sports equipment, the Lending Hub offers something for everyone to encourage you to get outside and stay active.

Rentals are free for daily use and must be returned by 8:30pm on Monday-Friday and 7:30pm on Saturday and Sunday.

There are two outdoor rinks within the Town of Arnprior.
