Commissioner of Oaths

The Town of Arnprior has Commissioners of Oaths that are available to commission documents such as affidavits, oaths and statutory declarations. Our office cannot answer questions about which documents need commissioning. The Town of Arnprior does not have a Notary Public and cannot notarize documents.

Fees

It costs $10 for residents and $35 for non-residents for the Commissioner of Oaths to witness or sign a document.

Requirements

Bring identification that shows your signature. Do not sign or date documents prior to arriving at our office. It is the commissioner's job to properly identify you and witness you signing any documents. For certified copies of documents, bring the original documents and the photocopies you want to be certified – the commissioner must view the original.
