Leaf and Yard Waste

Leaf & Yard Waste may be disposed of at the Arnprior Landfill year round. Disposal of leaf and yard waste (excluding brush) is free for Town of Arnprior residents. Curbside collection of leaf and yard waste is done twice a year in May and November. Residents are also encouraged to compost Leaf & Yard Waste.

2026 Collection Dates

Monday Collection Zone May 11 & 25 / November 9 & 23
Tuesday Collection Zone May 12 & 26 / November 10 & 24
Thursday Collection Zone May 14 & 28 / November 12 & 26
Friday Collection Zone May 15 & 29 / November 13 & 27

Collection may take up to 3 days to complete; however all leaf and yard waste must be out at the curbside by 7:00 am on the first day of collection.

Items Accepted at Curbside

Leaf & Yard Waste must be contained in biodegradable paper bags or tied with biodegradable twine and placed at the curbside by 7:00 a.m. on the day of collection.

Plants
Flowers
Weeds
Leaves
Grass clippings
Trimmed branches (less than 1.5 inches diameter).

Items Not Accepted at Curbside

Each of the items below must be disposed of directly at the Arnprior Landfill and are not collected at the curbside during the leaf and yard waste collection event. A landfill voucher may be required.

Pumpkins
Christmas Trees may be disposed of during hours of operation until January 31^st at the Arnprior Waste Disposal Site for free. Please do not dispose of Christmas trees at the curbside.
Brush: Shrubs, hedges, trees, large branches (larger than 1.5 inches in diameter), stumps, logs, timber. Brush is not considered Leaf & Yard Waste and will not be picked-up at the curbside.
