There are a variety of grants and funding available for businesses from different levels of governments and organizations. Grant programs that are currently open have been summarized below with links to further information and details. It is recommended that businesses view our guide for grant applications before applying for any grants.
Community Improvement Plan Financial Incentives
The Town offers Five Financial Incentives programs through the Town's Community Improvement Plan. Grants are available for building and property improvements under 6 grant categories. Learn more about the available funding and how to apply.
Programs for Expanding or Growing a Business
BDC Intellectual Property-Backed Financing
Get financing and guidance from intellectual property (IP) experts who can help you with your IP portfolios, commercialized offerings and global prospects.
BDC Small Business Loan
Apply online for a business loan of up to $100,000 with flexible repayment terms. Use this financing to supplement cash flow, improve operations, or cover expenses for your small business.
CanExport SMEs
Get a contribution of up to $75,000 to cover up to 75% of costs related to developing and expanding your e-commerce presence, attending virtual events, applying for certification and intellectual property protection in international markets, search engine optimization, and more.

Ontario Made
Register your locally manufactured goods and get support to raise awareness through an Ontario Made digital branded logo that can be used on your eligible products and marketing materials.
Renfrew County Community Futures Development Corporation
The Renfrew County Community Futures Development Corporation is a provincially incorporated non-profit organization that has helped small businesses in the Renfrew County area since 1986 by providing grants, loans, mentorship and public education.

You may be eligible for grant programs under the Town's Community Improvement Plan for renovations or improvements to your businesses building or property.
Francophone Wage Subsidy Program
Community Futures is now running the Francophone Wage Subsidy program for it’s third year! If you are an employer in Renfrew County (For profit, not for profit, Municipality, etc.) and you are planning on hiring a Francophone/Bilingual employee between now and March, 2023 you may be eligible to receive a 50% wage subsidy for the new hire! Please note any francophone hires on or after September 6, 2022 are also eligible!

If you're a small business in Ontario, you could get support from a team of marketers, web designers and creators for up to 6 weeks to help ‘future-proof' your business
Recovery Activation Program
Receive fully-funded immersive training, mentoring and support to assist with digital modernization – at no cost to you.
Programs for Starting a Business
Canada Small Business Financing Program
Access funds for land, buildings, leasehold improvements and purchases of new or used equipment.

Digital Main Street- Shop Here
If you have a small business in Ontario with fewer than 25 employees, you can get help setting up an online store to sell your goods and services.
Futurpreneur Canada
Financing, mentoring and expertise to get your startup off the ground. If you're 18 – 39 and ready to launch a business they offer collateral-free loans at better interest rates than most banks. Financing up to $20,000 per business. If you need more money, BDC may provide up to $40,000 additional funding.

Starter Company Plus
As a participant of Starter Company Plus you will receive: business training, learn how to write your business plan, complete two years cash-flow projections, and have an opportunity to compete for a business grant of up to $5,000 to help you start, grow or purchase your business.
Summer Company
Summer Company offers students a chance to explore entrepreneurship, gain business skills, learn from mentors and create their own summer job. Over the course of the program students will gain skills in: marketing, customer service, inventory control, and managing their business finances.
